Clear NIOS at your own pace.

Question papers, study material, TMAs, admission streams, and exam help for NIOS Secondary and Senior Secondary students — free, organised by subject code, and built for self-study.

NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) gives you the freedom to study at your own pace — but it also means you handle admission, streams, TMAs, and exams largely on your own. This help center pulls together what you actually need, subject by subject, with links to the official sources so you always reach the right page.

Common NIOS questions

Is NIOS valid for college, NEET and JEE?

Yes. The NIOS Senior Secondary (Class 12) certificate is recognised by universities and is accepted for NEET and JEE, the same as other recognised boards. Always confirm subject requirements for your specific course.

What is the passing mark in NIOS?

You need 33% to pass each subject. For subjects with practicals, you must pass theory and practical components as per the official rules for that subject.

I failed Class 10 or 12 — can NIOS help me save the year?

Yes. Many students move to NIOS after a board-exam setback. Through Transfer of Credit you may carry forward subjects you already passed and only appear for the rest. See the admission guide for the exact steps.
